What to Look for in a Baby Pool Float
When deciding which baby pool float is right for your little one, there are a few factors to consider. If you can’t decide, you can always try a few different types of baby floats as well- thankfully they’re relatively low cost and can always be shared with friends and family too.
Keep these factors in mind when choosing a pool float:
- Sun protection- babies under 6 months of age should avoid direct sunlight
- Removable canopy- that way it can be utilized inside when you want it, without the extra bulk
- Safety features- adjustable straps, high-quality material to prevent water leaks, child safety valves, dual inflation chambers, internal springs for stability, etc.
- Type of baby pool float- for babies look for support around the chest and waist- baby neck floats are not recommended. For Toddlers- a sturdy swim float or a life vest are ideal.
- What materials the swim float is made with- avoid materials with toxic smells or that can easily start to leak (go for high-quality PVC material)
- Inflatable vs non-inflatable foam or plastic- inflatable can be easier to store while non-inflatable will not leak
- Convenience- easy to store and assemble
- Fun features (like a steering wheel or full baby float activity center)
- Cuteness vs.
functionality (and safety)- some may have it all! But never choose a baby float just for its cute factor, even though it’s tempting!

At Tiny Jumps, we have a non-inflatable kids’ vest that comes with detachable armbands as well.
They are safe and cannot be punctured since they are airless and have pearl foam filling inside. It is an ideal option for kids aged 3 to 8 who are still learning how to swim. This allows your child to have fun and learn at the same time, that too by remaining safe.
Baby Pool Rings
Pool rings are traditional inflatable safety rings for children and adults. These are circular floats that come in different sizes and designs. We have a suitable version for kids ages 3 months to 6 years. It’s a neck ring that helps children keep themselves afloat and remain safe as they learn to kick and float in the pool.
We have it available in many color options and with an air pump, so you don’t have to buy one. They are a popular choice for kids as they can play games with them, such as ring toss. They are safe and cannot be punctured since they are airless and have pearl foam filing inside.
Floating Play Mats
Floating play mats are a great source of entertainment and joy for kids, as they love to do exciting activities during pool parties. They are large, durable, and colorful mats that can float on the surface of a pool or a lake. You can use them to relax, play games, or exercise with your children. Floating play mats are beneficial for kids because they help them develop their balance, coordination, and motor skills. They also encourage them to be active and creative in the water. They are the best baby pool floats that are easy to inflate, deflate, and store. Floating play mats are a must-have for any family that loves water activities.
Pool Noodles
Pool noodles are flexible, foam tubes that can be used for various water games and activities. They are lightweight, colorful, and easy to hold. You can use them to float, splash, or make shapes in the water. Pool noodles are fun for kids because they stimulate their imagination and creativity. They also help them learn about buoyancy, physics, and teamwork. Pool noodles are ideal for summer and pool parties, as they can be enjoyed by kids of all ages and skill levels. They are simple to use, clean, and store. Pool noodles are a fun and inexpensive way to spice up your water play.

Conclusion: Children’s kayak choice in 2023
Most children enjoy playing in and out of the water. This makes kayaking the perfect activity for your kids. However, adult kayaks are usually too big, too heavy, and too expensive for most children. After all, you don’t want your kid paddling rocks on your expensive carbon fiber touring yak, do you?!
The best kayaks for kids are designed to be durable enough to withstand child abuse. They are also smaller, lighter and easier to handle. Whether you choose a sit-down, sit-down, or inflatable kayak, you can be sure your kids will enjoy surfing on the water.
However, due to the risk of capsizing and drowning, make sure your child always paddles within sight of an adult and wears a personal lifesaving device. Kayaking is a very safe pastime, but it pays to be prepared and expect the unexpected. With this warning, you and your child can enjoy a wonderful day of paddling.
