The Best Baby Car Sunshades of 2023 (based on our tests)

We researched and purchased fourteen of the most popular baby car sunshades on the market. We used extensive testing procedures to determine which car shade is the best based on sunlight protection, stability, quality, design, and ease of use.

Our Editor’s Choice award and top pick for the best baby car sunshade go to the TFY Universal Sunshade. It performed best in our myriad of tests.

This shade slips easily over the top of a car door, covering the entire rear window on both the outside and inside. It can be ordered in regular or large sizing for a rectangular window, and regular sizing for a contoured window. Our testing used the large rectangular shade measuring at 31.5” x 47” x 23”. The stretchy material makes it more universally usable than many other styles. This shade was able to cover the rear window for both a GMC Acadia and Chevy Cruze.

TFY Universal Sunshade

Though we tested four different pullover style shades, this one scored the best overall in sun protection, ease of use, and aesthetic appeal. Unlike the other shades, the TFY had darker, thicker mesh on one side of the shade and lighter, thinner mesh on the other. This addition of the darker side offered protection from the sun that others did not.

Because the shade stretches over the entire top of the car door and window frame, it cannot be removed by a passenger. A child in a car seat can grab onto it and pull on the bottom, but they cannot remove it.

The TFY can handle even the toughest attempts at removing

The TFY was very easy to install as it slips over the top of the door. We were able to install one in only twelve seconds.

This shade does partially go on the outside of the vehicle, so it is subject to outdoor factors like rain or debris. However, when we tested this shade, we ran it under water to see how fast it would dry and it fully air dried very quickly.

A car shade of this style still lets the car window roll down, allowing fresh air to flow. Even with the window rolled down, we never noticed any unwanted wind noise or shade flapping.

The TFY Sunshade is very budget friendly, falling well within the average price range for a two pack.

Pros

  • Quick installation
  • Good protection from UV rays
  • Child cannot remove
  • Ability to roll down window
  • Double layer of protection
  • Looks good on vehicle
  • Budget friendly

Cons

  • Can get wet or dirty on the outside
  • Some view distortion

The Qualizi Sun Shade is another quality shade that performed well in our testing.

Another pullover style car shade, it is similar to the TFY with a few key differences. For example, the Qualizi shade can be ordered in a plethora of sizes, ranging from Small to XXXL.

Another difference between this shade and the TFY is that the Qualizi is a thinner material. As a result, it does have a slightly lower level of sunlight protection.

The Qualizi can also be easily installed by slipping over the car door. During testing, it only took us twelve seconds to set up. When we got it wet during testing, it air dried quickly and easily.

We tested four different pullover style shades that look nearly identical. The main differences between them were how well they fit over the testing vehicle windows and the level of sunlight protection, with the TFY scoring two points higher than the other three shades.

Before testing, we speculated that these shades would score lower overall, thinking the fact that they are partially outside the vehicle would cut down on aesthetic appeal and quality, but we were pleasantly surprised by the test results.

The four pullover sunshades look nearly identical

One of the biggest benefits of these shades is that their over the door style means the entire window is covered at all times. Shades that adhere to the windows often are not a perfect fit and leave gaps that allow sunlight in.

Another benefit is the ability to roll down the car window while the shade is installed. This allows for airflow while still blocking out unwanted brightness.

Shades of this style may not be for everyone. If you do not want something that is on the outside of the vehicle and at risk of getting wet or dirty, you may want to consider a different type of sunshade. However, we were impressed that the four pullover shades we tested were our top scorers.

If you are looking for a different style of shade that does not go on the outside of your car, we recommend the kinder Fluff Car Window Shade.

This shade uses static cling to adhere to the window, making it easy to install. We got one put up in less than seventeen seconds.

This product comes as a four pack with two semi-transparent and two transparent shades. The darker semi-transparent shade offers better sunlight protection than the transparent, but does cause more distortion for drivers looking out the window.

The shades can be ordered in either 21″x12″ or 25″x16″. We tested the 21″x12″ for our testing, which was a bit small on a GMC Acadia window, letting some sun in around the edges, but it did fit better on the smaller Chevy Cruze window.

Though the shades were twisted for storage, they laid flat against the window much better than some similar shades we tested. There was very little bunching at the top and bottom.

The darker kinder Fluff shade

The shade stuck very well to the window and did not fall off at all when driving the car and hitting bumps, but it was still easy to remove and reapply.

The lighter kinder Fluff shade

When removing the shade, we did notice that it left some residue on the window, but this did not seem to impact reapplication, and the residue wiped off easily.

Pros

  • Easy installation
  • Can order different sizes
  • Four pack with two different darkness levels
  • Can be removed and reapplied easily
  • Good price

Cons

  • Can leave gapping around the sides
  • Leaves some residue on removal

In addition to the four pullover shades and six static cling shades, we tested three magnetic shades and one relying on suction cup and hook attachments to secure.

The ggomaArt Universal Magnetic Shade scored the highest of these shades, with nearly 100% sunlight blockage.

This shade came with magnetic fasteners as well as suction cups for reinforcement.

Do note that this style of shade is only practical for metal framed windows and doors. The sale listing itself advises to double check your doors before purchasing. We were able to hang the shade on both a GMC Acadia and a Chevy Cruze.

The shade does hang freely at the bottom, so it is easy for a child to grab onto and try to remove, but compared to the other magnetic shades, the ZATOOTO Magnetic Blinds and the Munchkin® Brica® Magnetic Stretch to Fit™, the ggomaArt offers the overall best sun and UV protection, tear resistance, and aesthetic appeal.

The downside to this shade is that, because of the material, the window is completely blacked out, creating a blindspot for the driver.

The shade did not come with installation instructions, so it took a little longer to figure out how to set it up on the window, but it still only took us a minute to install the shade with the magnets and suction cups.

The ggomaArt comes with a single shade, so if you are wanting to cover both backseat windows, you will need to order two.

This is a great shade to allow a child to nap in the backseat on a road trip, blocking all sun rays from the rear window except for the small gaps on the side.

Pros

  • Best sun ray protection
  • Very little gapping
  • Two fastener types

Cons

  • Creates blindspot
  • Only works on certain door frames
  • Only comes with one shade

Value

Sunshades in general are not an expensive product. The prices of our tested products varied from $8.99 to $20.99. Most sunshades can be purchased at an average price of around $15. An affordable but useful product such as this would make a great gift for a baby shower.

Many shades came in two to four packs, with only the ggomaArt and Munchkin® Brica® Magnetic Stretch to Fit™ shades coming with a singular shade.

Why You Can Trust Us

Our team of professionals has researched hundreds of children’s products over the past seven years. We have used many of these products ourselves as parents and grandparents.

Our team completed extensive research to determine the most popular baby car sunshades on the market. After choosing our products, we read several buyer’s guides to find out exactly what people are looking for in a sunshade, wanting to make sure our choices could fill that need.

We read hundreds of critical customer reviews of baby car sunshades and based our extensive testing criteria on these findings.

We purchased all the products in this review at retail prices and did not receive any incentive or compensation from manufacturers. All recommendations and opinions are strictly our own.

Our Video

How We Tested

Our extensive research showed that buyers’ most common complaints about sunshades are that they fall off easily, they don’t provide adequate sun and UV ray protection, and that they don’t fit their car windows well.

Other frequent complaints were that the products were low in quality and difficult to use/reuse.

Based on this information, we aimed our testing criteria for each shade at five main areas:

Sunlight Protection (30%)
Stability (30%)
Design/Fit (20%)
Quality (10%)
Ease of Use (10%)

We installed each of the sunshades on the rear window of our vehicles for testing. We installed them on both a GMC Acadia and a Chevy Cruze to help determine how different sizes and types of vehicles may vary the test results.

We drove the vehicles, tested the shades in direct sunlight, and even used a backseat passenger (three years old) to help test the sun protection, durability, and quality of each shade.

Sunlight Protection

In this category, we measured how well each sunshade blocked the sun’s rays. For these tests, we hung each shade in direct sunlight and rated its protection. We took thickness of the material into account as well as any gaps around the sides of the shade when rating the sun glare.

Here are the overall scores in the Sunlight Protection category:

ZATOOTO Magnetic Blinds
TFY Universal Sunshade

Munchkin® Brica® Magnetic Stretch to Fit™

The ggomaArt Sunshade had very little gapping and provided excellent sunlight blockageThough the Munchkin Brica Magnetic Shade had even less gapping, it had much lower sunlight protection

Stability

In this category, we tested all of the shades to see how well they stayed secured to the window. We tested their ability to stay on while in a moving vehicle, as well as if a little one could remove the shade and if the window could be rolled down.

We were pleased that all of the shades, regardless of attachment method, stayed secured to the window during our driving test. Even hitting bumps and taking sharp turns, none of the shades ever fell.

Some shades passed the child test better than others. Pullover shades such as the TFY and the ShadeSox could not be removed at all since they stretch over the entire door and are secured by the closed door itself.

Our three year old shade tester

Some shades, especially the ones that adhere by static cling, were easily able to be removed during testing.

The window could be rolled down with about half of the shades, particularly the pullover style shades. None of the static cling shades stayed attached when the window was rolled down.

Design/Fit

In this category, we tested each shade to see how well it would fit on cars of different sizes. We also wanted to see if the shade interfered with the child at all, if it made any noise while moving, and how it looked aesthetically.

The majority of the shades could be hung on both a GMC Acadia and a Chevy Cruze. Some sunshades advertise that they are universal, but due to the varying window sizes, it is important to measure your window before ordering the product to make sure it will fit.

Some of the sunshades can be ordered in a variety of sizes, which is beneficial and more customized for your personal vehicle.

Most shades did not interfere with the child in the backseat or make noise while the car was moving.

When testing the aesthetic appeal of the shades, we found that the pullover shades once again topped the charts. Because they can cover an entire window, they gave a more unified look than some of the other shades.

Many of the static cling shades would bunch at the top and/or bottom because of how they were packaged, which lowered their visual score.

The pullover sunshades looked more visually appealingMany static cling shades bunched at the top and bottom, not looking as nice

Quality

In the quality portion of our testing process, we tested each shade on four factors: how it arrived from the manufacturer, how much visual distortion it caused the driver, how easily it would tear, and if it left any damage or residue on the window after removal.

All of the shades arrived in good shape. No pieces were missing or particularly damaged. For the most part, the shades did not leave any marks or residue on the windows. The only one that did was the kinder Fluff shade, but the residue wiped off easily.

When hanging anything in a car window, there is going to be some distortion of the driver’s view, resulting in less visibility. Darker and larger shades caused more distortion while lighter, smaller shades caused less.

Cute designs are more fun for a little one, but can distort the driver’s view more than a thin mesh

Because most car shades were made of mesh material and/or plastic, they were subject to some tearing. For this test, we tried to push a pencil through each shade to see how much and how easily it would rip.

Of all of the shades, the ggomaArt Magnetic Shade was the only one that could not be punctured by the pencil.

The mesh material was more forgiving than the plastic, with the mesh typically just stretching out and the plastic easily ripping.

Maybe this test was a little excessive, but the results were interesting!

Ease of Use

Nobody wants a shade that is frustrating to deal with. We wanted to make sure our sunshade choices were convenient as well as functional.

All of the shades could be installed fairly quickly. Here is the time it took to install a single shade on the back passenger window:

Not all of the shades came with installation instructions, but most are fairly self-explanatory and easy to install. Something we learned that not all instructions shared was that, particularly for the static cling shades, the window will need to be cleaned before installing to guarantee a better stick.

We were able to easily remove and store all of the sunshades back into their original packaging.

The shades came in a variety of packaging styles

Some shades were easier to re-store than others. You might consider storing the static cling shades flat instead of retwisting to fit into their pouch as the twisting can further warp the shape.

The Enovoe Four Pack shades did not lay flat after removing from the package

We were able to reinstall all of the shades, regardless of style, without any issues adhering to the window.

Are Sunshades Safe?

We are not aware of any credible research on the safety of baby car sunshades, nor are we aware of any statistics directly related to accidents involving the use of sunshades.

The purpose of a sunshade is to protect your passengers (typically children) from the brightness of the sun. This can be a matter of comfort to keep the sun glare out of their eyes and keep the car cool, and also a matter of protecting baby’s delicate skin from harmful UV rays and potential sunburn. Sunshades exist to bring comfort and safety.

It should be noted, however, that placing anything in the window of your car can create a blind spot and distortion while driving. Though some sunshades give more distortion than others, buyers should proceed with caution when picking out and using them.

Sunshades give parents ease of mind in knowing that their child is protected from the sun and comfortable in the backseat.

6 Aspects To Consider When Buying The Best Car Window Shades For Your Baby

UV protection

Sun rays are made of two kinds of Ultraviolet rays, the UVA and UVB. These two types of rays have different potential effects on the exposed skin. When settling for a particular type of sun shade, look for the one that can protect both of these rays to keep your baby safe. Those with over 80% protection capabilities are the best.

Clinging Mode

There are different ways window shades can be mounted on the car windows. These methods include using large suction cups, adhesives and the static-cling technology while others will require you to insert them into the window frames.

Effective window shades should stay on the window for the entire duration that you will be driving. Those that can be inserted into the window frames perform well when it comes to sticking even with the change in inside and outside temperatures.

Those that use large suction cups also tend to stick longer than those that have small suction cups. Large suction cups will also ensure that the shades do not fall when driving hence preventing a choking hazard.

PVC free

Exposure to chemicals may have long term effects on your baby. Most of the static-cling technology shades are made with PVC chemicals; you should give them a second look before choosing to buy them.

Shape of the window

Most parents ignore this factor when purchasing window shades for their cars. You should ensure that you know the size and shape of your car’s window before making any purchase. This is because some of the window sun shades are made to fit specific shapes of windows.

They may be made to fit large vehicles like the SUVs and minivans. Take note of the shape of your vehicle window. Consider both the rear side windows and the back windows to avoid future frustrations.

Weight of the shade

Heavy shades will keep falling and will be hard to stick on the car windows. Lightweight car shades offer many benefits which include easy installation and uninstallation, portability and storage and are also good for visibility.

It is also believed that heavy and sturdy materials carried on a vehicle in the event of a crash can be projectiles and cause injuries. Take note of the weight and flexibility of your car shade before buying one.

Visibility

Visibility is one essential requirement for safe driving. Car window shades should give enough visibility for the driver to see different road signs. The driver should also be able to see what is going on at the back side of the vehicle especially when reversing.

Even though the car window shade will be protecting your baby from the harmful UV rays, it should not compromise your visibility.

Large bright windows are a guarantee of comfort in your home. However, during the summer heat, enlarged window openings are a source of trouble. The scorching sun does not just heat the room. Ultraviolet light literally heats up the air, which affects not only people, but also pets.

Partial or total UV blocking

An overheated room is very harmful to human health, so people do not get tired of inventing more and more new ways to cool the room during the heat.

How to close the windows from the sun in the apartment? All methods are divided into two large options:

  • total blackout;
  • light curtain.

The first option includes both external and internal blinds. The most effective of them have a reflective coating.

Thick linen or satin curtains are less effective but can turn day into night indoors.

Window film

Light protection from the sun on the windows in the apartment provides glass tinting. The tint film is glued directly onto the glass sheet. Its purpose is not only to reflect the rays, but also to reduce the heat flux. There are films with different degrees of protection on the market, some of them are endowed with a mirror effect.

Mirror tint not only contributes to light reflection, but also provides a masking effect. Through it from the street the room is not visible.

The advantage of the product was the possibility of quick removal. It is important that the tinting film does not require any special care during operation.

Along with the classic tinted film, which can be used to seal windows from the sun on their own, double-glazed windows with the same function are offered on the market.

Curtains — the classic way

From time immemorial, on a hot day, curtains are closed to darken the windows from the sun. At the same time, dark curtains can not only cool, but also heat the room. A thick curtain must be a light shade.

Light-colored fabric heats up less, but retains the sun’s rays. A truly ingenious invention of our time can be called an innovative canvas Black-out. The composition consists of three layers, it almost completely reflects sunlight. This is good sun protection for the windows.

However, this option has a drawback. Several layers of fabric serve not only as protection from sunlight. This is the real dust collector. In operation, multi-layer curtains are quite complicated. They need to be washed several times a season.

External blinds

It is generally accepted that outdoor blinds are only a way to protect property. In fact, they are able to prevent unwanted penetration. However, in summer, these products will also serve as protection from the sun. They are lowered when the temperature rises especially high, creating a protective screen.

The most effective products for darkening windows are made of galvanized metal. They are not subject to corrosive processes and tolerate atmospheric precipitation well. Most importantly, galvanized metal has a reflective effect.

External blinds must be accompanied by a mechanism for changing the angle of the slats. This is necessary so that some part of the sunlight still penetrates the room from the side of the street, otherwise the dimming will be too strong.

Ideally, outdoor blinds should be controlled remotely using a remote control. This option is good because it frees the owners from having to hang heavy linen structures on the windows. The window remains free, which facilitates the interior and visually enlarges the room.

Cassette blinds — modern version

Heavy curtains with lambrequins have been replaced by light and elegant cassette curtains. The design allows you to fix them directly on the double-glazed window. Cassette blinds fit tightly to the glass, so they can close the window from the sun. They are available on the market in a wide variety of colors and textures. They can be chosen for almost any design solution.

In fact, cassette curtains are similar to blinds, but better. They are more graceful. As a protection from the sun’s rays, they are effective, and it is much easier to care for them than conventional blinds with many slats.

Metal and plastic interior shutters

Horizontal blinds perform their function at home and in the office, creating obstacles in the path of sunlight. But long-term practice has shown that this option is tiring in daily use. The fact is that even more dust accumulates on the slats than on linen curtains.

The slats must be treated individually. Of course, this takes a lot of time and effort. However, they are still popular. On the market you can find internal blinds made of light-repellent plates. It is enough to turn them into a vertical plane to get a light but dense enough shield for the entire width of the window.

Bamboo and pleated blinds

Manufacturers pamper consumers with several varieties of bamboo blinds. They are both horizontal and vertical. A small angle of rotation makes it possible to illuminate the room, but not completely. Since they are made in a variety of colors, they can organically blend into any interior.

This is the most budget option, but their disadvantage is the ability to attract dust. It is necessary to take care of bamboo blinds in the same way as for any surface in the room: periodically arrange a wet cleaning for them.

Pleated blinds: a fashion statement

The classic design of strips of fabric connected by a lifting mechanism, in this version is complemented by a day-night function that allows you to make the shading more or less dense. This design is made of two types of fabric, one of which is translucent.

The model is attractive due to its variability of use, and the external resemblance to horizontal blinds inspires confidence in the consumer. They can hang a bedroom or a nursery.

Do-it-yourself window protection from the sun

How to close the window from the sun with your own hands? Everyone knows the foil sheet, which is fixed at the top of the window with adhesive tape. The resourceful citizens have perfected this option. The foil can be fixed on a regular sheet of cardboard and put on the window as needed, while the rolled foil is fixed on the window frame for the whole summer.

Another option that can rightfully be attributed to folk art is paper pleated blinds. They are made by hand from a simple roll of paper. It is enough to choose a darker wallpaper and fold them like a fan. The upper edge is fixed with adhesive tape on the frame, and the pleated canvas falls down, curtaining the window.

The most creative models are accompanied by beautiful tie-backs in the middle. In this case, the design looks really very elegant. But we have to admit that the paper quickly burns out and heats up, and relatively copes with the shading function.

But the so-called awnings made of dense canvas fabric, fixed on the outside above the window, are much more effective. As a rule, this is a removable design that allows you to change the angle of inclination. A visor is formed above the window, which is very easy to perform. It is enough to fix the brackets from the outside, which can be bought at any store.

A fabric stretched between them will cast a shadow on the glass. Of course, the dimming effect will turn out to be small, but the design will cope with its role throughout the summer.

The most inventive use a conventional building substrate. One side of it has reflective foil. The material is much denser than a regular sheet of foil. If you fix it on the outside of the glass, the effect will be amazing.

You can experiment and put your hand on a heated substrate in the middle of a hot day. The foil heats up almost like a hot frying pan. Thus, all the aggression of the summer sun rays remains outside the apartment. Of course, the option with a substrate, for all its effectiveness, is short-lived.

None of these methods gives a 100% effect, but they all help to survive the hot summer.

How to choose roller blinds — which ones are better? The expert reveals the secrets

Blog about roller blinds and blinds

And you won’t regret it later

Do you want to make a person shudder with one word? Gently tell him, «Repair.» All. The goal is achieved: it is completely in your power.

Interior renovation is an interesting but exhausting quest. When it comes to curtains, the enthusiasm has already frayed. It’s for the state that I’m offended! It is easy to choose normal roller blinds. And they are much more convenient. I speak as someone whose children haven’t hit anyone with a curtain rod for five years. Because … there is no cornice! Bingo! And you don’t need to hang it either, you dare? And the drill will not get into the electric cable. Yes, and rolls are cheaper than kilometers of velvet. And at the end of the repair, every ruble counts.

Why roller blinds?

Before choosing roller blinds, you need to understand why all these gestures. Here are the top 5 reasons to switch to new curtains:

1. Fix the view from the window.

Red Square is not noticeable from the window even in a very distant perspective? Well, please, well, you don’t need to! We want — and we will print it.

2. Adjust the light level.

Roller blinds allow you to adjust the light in complex windows.
You can even play in the second world without architectural feats.

3. Keep visitors safe.

It is especially important for doctors, cosmetologists, massage therapists to protect their clients from prying eyes.

4. Combine style and practicality in the interior.

Plain tulle is aesthetically pleasing but does not give enough shade. Yes, and confidentiality also creates a C grade. The duet «tulle + roll» is a completely different level.

5. Stop explaining to the cat that the curtain is not a climbing wall.

Who chooses roller blinds: wife, secretary, designer?

The choice of roller blinds is a strategically important decision. Such a question cannot be left to chance. This is not a magnet to bring from vacation. You have to live with it later, after all!

Finding curtains for your office is best done on your own. Maybe the owner often spends the night there and he needs curtains «Day / Night», and not «Those with flowers, at a discount.»

But the hottest battles, of course, are at home. It is worth telling that photo printing can be done on roller blinds and it begins. The battles are such that the gladiators nervously smoke and take notes. If the designer dares to approach, it is only to throw the catalog and disappear beyond the horizon.

The family decides which roller blind to choose:

  • for the living room;
  • Everyone wants something different: grandma with a printed carpet, grandpa sings: “Only mountains are better than mountains”, mum yearns for Paris, dad runs away from Tarkov and loves bunkers.

  • to the bedroom;
  • There are no questions here: “Anything, just a blackout! Let me sleep!»

  • to the kitchen;
  • The drama is gaining momentum: fashionable light or practical dark? Further — according to Shakespeare: to erase or not to erase, that is the question.

  • to the nursery.
  • Apogee, peak, crisis and doomsday. One needs the Paw Patrol Racer, the other needs Peppa Pig and no one else. Perhaps the first Pegasus appeared in much the same way.

Teenagers promise to enter Moscow State University right tomorrow, in the middle of the second semester of the seventh grade. Anything, if only the parents would print a photo of Oksimiron in the whole window.

Mom cooperates with grandma for science. Together they are trying to push the love of geography through contemporary art and persuade children to curtains with maps.

How to choose roller blinds: discussing the nuances?

Now the significant moment has come: we buy roller blinds. How to choose them?

Choosing the type: rolled MINI or cassette UNI?

MINI

from 1553 rubles

First, determine the desired type:

  • mini;
  • The most budgetary version of roller blinds. They do not have a box, which makes the product as cheap as possible.

What threatens this? Without a box, the curtain, even when assembled, will be in the form of a compact roll at the top of the window.

Product MINI — without box and without guides

To prevent the curtain from sagging when the window sash is tilted, use a guide line or magnets. But UNI curtains still fit tighter.

The fishing line “stretches” the canvas — as a result of which it does not sag

Magnets — the principle of operation is approximately the same as that of the fishing line

UNI cassette

from 2598 rubles

    9 0007 cassette UNI.

Uni models are distinguished by the presence of a box at the top of the curtain. The curtain “leaves” into this box when it is not needed. The color of the box is matched to the color of the frame, which makes the assembled curtains almost invisible.

The Uni version has rails so that the shade stays close to the sash even when the window is open.

There are also guides in such curtains, the roll will not flutter in the wind.

Day-Night

from 2217 rubles

Let’s discuss the level of illumination:

We figured out the form factor of the curtains. Now we decide how much light the curtain should let into the room. There are such options:

  • 50% light transmission;
  • The most common and affordable model.

  • «day-night»;
  • This model is also called «Zebra» or «Combo». It has two levels of light transmission. Strips of different density are shifted, forming a lighter or darker canvas.

BLACKOUT

from 1553 rubles

  • blackout.
  • Darkens by 99% (the blackout fabric itself is completely opaque, but there may be light on the sides). Ideal for those who want to maximize the tinted window.

Where will we hang up?

Roller blinds fasten:

  • to the sash;
  • Both MINI and UNI cassettes will fit here. Such an installation does not burden the interior, so it is chosen more often.

There are different types of sashes: solid and hinged.

Cassette UNIs are more suitable for folding curtains: because of the guides, the fabric of the curtain fits snugly against the sash in any position. Any roller blinds are suitable for deaf sashes.

The biggest challenge is sliding doors. Roller blinds cannot be attached to them, because. the mechanics of the product will be broken. It will no longer be possible to open / close a window or door, the system will “freeze” in one position. Not what you want in a snowfall, right? Therefore, in such cases, roller blinds are mounted on the ceiling.

  • on the opening or in the opening.
  • Cassette uni is not suitable for this installation. Fastening above the opening is usually chosen in large rooms where it is not necessary to visually expand the space. Also, this option is suitable for windows without window sills.

How to install roller blinds?

Roller blinds available in various options:

MINI: cassette UNI (mounted only on the leaves):
double sided tape; double sided tape;
self-tapping screws; self-tapping screws.
