Dangerous goods
Goods that may cause harm to human health or life and the environment as a result of a traffic accident. Dangerous goods require strict compliance with the special conditions of carriage regulated by the International Agreement of ADR. The document is valid on the territory of 48 countries, including Russia.
The list of hazardous substances contains more than 3,000 items divided into classes in accordance with GOST 19433-88 (developed in accordance with the requirements of ADR).
Classifier of dangerous goods divides all goods into 9 classes depending on the hazard class and type of goods.
Dangerous goods class 4. Subclasses
Flammable substances and materials (other than those classified as explosives) capable of easily igniting during transport from external sources of ignition, as a result of friction, absorption of moisture, spontaneous chemical transformations, and also when heated.
Divided into 3 divisions
- Subclass 4.1. Flammable solids that are capable of being rapidly ignited by short-term exposure to external sources of ignition (sparks, flames or friction) and burning actively.
- Subclass 4.2. Self-igniting substances which, under normal conditions of transport, may spontaneously heat up and ignite.
- Subclass 4.3. Substances that emit flammable gases when in contact with water.
Examples: aluminum powder, nitrocellulose-based motion picture and photographic film, raw or refined naphthalene, sulfur, coal, activated carbon, wet cotton, fishmeal, unsaturated oil-treated paper, bagasse, waste iron oxide, etc.
Transport equipment for hazard class 4

- heater switch can be installed outside the driver’s cab;
