Year 4 Syllabus
Year Level Description
The proficiency strands understanding, fluency, problem-solving and reasoning are an integral part of mathematics content across the three content strands: number and algebra, measurement and geometry, and statistics and probability. The proficiencies reinforce the significance of working mathematically within the content and describe how the content is explored or developed. They provide the language to build in the developmental aspects of the learning of mathematics. The achievement standards reflect the content and encompass the proficiencies.
At this year level:
- understanding includes making connections between representations of numbers, partitioning and combining numbers flexibly, extending place value to decimals, using appropriate language to communicate times and describing properties of symmetrical shapes
- fluency includes recalling multiplication tables, communicating sequences of simple fractions, using instruments to measure accurately, creating patterns with shapes and their transformations and collecting and recording data
- problem-solving includes formulating, modelling and recording authentic situations involving operations, comparing large numbers with each other, comparing time durations and using properties of numbers to continue patterns
- reasoning includes using generalising from number properties and results of calculations, deriving strategies for unfamiliar multiplication and division tasks, comparing angles, communicating information using graphical displays and evaluating the appropriateness of different displays.

ACCOUNT 58 «FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS» \ ConsultantPlus
ACCOUNT 58 «FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS»
Account 58 «Financial investments» is intended to summarize information on the presence and movement of investments of the organization in government securities, shares, bonds and other securities of other organizations, authorized (share) capitals of other organizations, as well as loans granted to other organizations.
To account 58 «Financial investments» sub-accounts can be opened:
58-1 «Shares and shares»;
58-2 «Debt securities»;
58-3 «Granted loans»;
58-4 «Contributions under a simple partnership agreement»;
58-5 «Other financial investments», etc.
Sub-account 58-1 «Shares and shares» takes into account the presence and movement of investments in shares of joint-stock companies, authorized (reserve) capitals of other organizations, etc.
Sub-account 58-2 «Debt securities» takes into account the presence and movement of investments in public and private debt securities (bonds, etc. ).
Financial investments made by the organization are reflected in the debit of account 58 «Financial investments» and the credit of the accounts, which take into account the values to be transferred on account of these investments. For example, the acquisition by an organization of securities of other organizations for a fee is carried out on the debit of account 58 «Financial investments» and the credit of account 51 «Settlement accounts» or 52 «Currency accounts».
When writing off the excess of the purchase value of bonds and other debt securities acquired by the organization over their nominal value, entries are made on the debit of account 76 «Settlements with various debtors and creditors» (for the amount due to be received on securities) and on the credit of accounts 58 » Financial investments» (per part of the difference between the purchase and nominal value) and 91 «Other income and expenses» (for the difference between the amounts charged to accounts 76 «Settlements with various debtors and creditors» and 58 «Financial investments»).
When additionally accruing the amount of excess of the par value of bonds and other debt securities acquired by the organization over their purchase value, entries are made on the debit of account 76 «Settlements with various debtors and creditors» (for the amount due to be received on securities) and the debit of accounts 58 » Financial investments» (per part of the difference between the purchase and nominal value) and 91 «Other income and expenses» (for the total amount charged to accounts 76 «Settlements with various debtors and creditors» and 58 «Financial investments»).
Redemption (redemption) and sale of securities recorded on account 58 «Financial investments» (except for organizations that record these operations on account 90 «Sales»).
Sub-account 58-3 «Granted loans» takes into account the movement of cash and other loans provided by the organization to legal and natural persons (except employees of the organization). Loans provided by the organization to legal entities and individuals (except employees of the organization) secured by bills of exchange are accounted separately on this sub-account.
Loans granted are reflected in the debit of account 58 «Financial investments» in correspondence with account 51 «Settlement accounts» or other relevant accounts. The return of the loan is reflected in the debit of account 51 «Settlement accounts» or other relevant accounts and the credit of account 58 «Financial investments».
On sub-account 58-4 «Contributions under a simple partnership agreement», the partner organization takes into account the presence and movement of contributions to common property under a simple partnership agreement.
Relations between the parties under a simple partnership agreement are regulated by Ch. 55 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. According to Art. 1041 under a simple partnership agreement (agreement on joint activities), two or more persons (partners) undertake to combine their contributions and act jointly without forming a legal entity to make a profit or achieve another goal that does not contradict the law.
A friend’s contribution is everything that he contributes to the common cause, including money, other property, professional and other knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as business reputation and business connections. The monetary value of a partner’s contribution is made by agreement between the partners (Article 1042 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation).
The amount of the contribution is reflected in the assessment provided for by the simple partnership agreement. Confirmation of receipt of a property contribution for a partner organization is an advice note on the receipt of property by a partner conducting common business, or a primary accounting document on receipt of property.
The provision of a contribution is reflected in the debit of account 58 «Financial investments» in correspondence with account 51 «Settlement accounts» and other relevant accounts for accounting for allocated property.
Upon termination of a simple partnership agreement, the return of property is reflected in the credit of account 58 «Financial investments» in correspondence with property accounts.
Analytical accounting on account 58 «Financial investments» is carried out by types of financial investments and objects in which these investments are made (organizations — sellers of securities; other organizations in which the organization is a member; organizations — borrowers, etc. ). The construction of analytical accounting should provide the possibility of obtaining data on short-term and long-term assets. At the same time, accounting for financial investments within a group of interrelated organizations, on the activities of which consolidated financial statements are compiled, is kept on account 58 «Financial investments» separately.
ACCOUNT 58 «FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS»
CORRESPONDES WITH ACCOUNTS:
ACCOUNT 98 «FUTURE INCOME» \ ConsultantPlus
ACCOUNT 98 «INCOME WILL BE
Account 98 «Deferred income» is intended to summarize information on income, received (accrued) in the reporting period, but relating to future reporting periods, as well as future inflows of debts for shortages identified in the reporting period for previous years, and the difference between the amount to be recovered from the guilty parties and the value of the values accepted for accounting upon detection of shortages and damage.
To account 98 «Deferred income» sub-accounts can be opened:
98-1 «Income received on account of future periods»;
98-2 «Gratuitous receipts»;
98-3 «Upcoming receipts of debts for shortages identified in previous years»;
98-4 «The difference between the amount to be recovered from the guilty parties and the book value of the missing valuables», etc. , but relating to future reporting periods: rent or rent, payment for utilities, revenue from freight transportation, for the transportation of passengers on monthly and quarterly tickets, subscription fees for using communication facilities, etc.
On the credit of account 98 «Deferred income» in correspondence with the accounts of cash or settlements with debtors and creditors, the amounts of income relating to future reporting periods are reflected, and on the debit — the amounts of income transferred to the corresponding accounts upon the onset of the reporting period, to which the income relates.
Analytical accounting for sub-account 98-1 «Income received on account of future periods» is kept for each type of income.
On subaccount 98-2 «Gratuitous receipts» takes into account the value of assets received by the organization free of charge.
On the credit of account 98 «Deferred income», in correspondence with accounts 08 «Investments in non-current assets» and others, the market value of assets received free of charge is reflected, and in correspondence with account 86 «Target financing» — the amount of budget funds allocated by a commercial organization to finance expenses. The amounts recorded on account 98 «Deferred income» are debited from this account in the credit of account 91 «Other income and expenses»:
for fixed assets received free of charge — as depreciation is accrued;
for other tangible assets received free of charge — as they are written off to the accounts of production costs (sales costs).
Analytical accounting for sub-account 98-2 «Gift-free receipts» is kept for each free receipt of valuables.
On sub-account 98-3 «Upcoming indebtedness for shortages identified in previous years» the movement of upcoming indebtedness for shortages identified in the reporting period for previous years is taken into account.
On the credit of account 98 «Deferred income» in correspondence with account 94 «Deficiencies and losses from damage to valuables» reflects shortages of valuables identified in previous reporting periods (before the reporting year), recognized by the guilty persons, or the amounts awarded for collection on them court. At the same time, account 94 «Shortages and losses from damage to valuables» is credited to these amounts in correspondence with account 73 «Settlements with personnel for other operations» (sub-account «Calculations for compensation of material damage»).
As the debt for shortages is repaid, account 73 «Settlements with personnel on other operations» is credited in correspondence with cash accounts, while simultaneously reflecting the amounts received on the credit of account 91 «Other income and expenses» (profits of previous years identified in the reporting year ) and the debit of account 98 «Deferred income».
On sub-account 98-4 «The difference between the amount to be recovered from guilty persons and the book value for missing valuables» the difference between the amount recovered from guilty persons for missing material and other valuables and the value recorded in the organization’s accounting records is taken into account.
On the credit of account 98 «Deferred income», in correspondence with account 73 «Settlements with personnel on other operations» (sub-account «Settlements for compensation of material damage»), the difference between the amount to be recovered from the guilty persons and the cost of missing values is reflected .
