Tips on choosing twin names:
Whose who? Come up with a method on how you will assign each twin their name. It could be as simple as saying the first twin to arrive will take Liam and the second, Lucas. Or you might want to wait and see who looks more like a certain name.
Traditional or modern? When it comes to settling on two names, think about how they work together. A mix of a traditional name like Margaret with a more modern name like Kylie doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue. So consider pairing names that come from similar time periods.
Do they flow? It’s all very well having Sebastian and Savannah’s names written down on paper, but when it comes to shouting out their names to grab their attention, you could find yourself running out of breath. Practice saying the names out loud together a few times to see if they work and aren’t a bit for a mouthful.
Can they be shortened? If you do decide on longer names for your two, then it’s always good to think about potential nicknames for everyday use.
Do you like the names individually? It’s good to select two names that work together as a perfect pair but don’t settle on one because it just fits with the other and vice versa. They’ll be situations in life where you’ll be with just one twin — so you want to make sure that your happy with their names individually too.
Matchy Matchy? Whilst it’s all well and good to pair similar names together, examples like Eliza and Elizabeth, Harry and Harrison or Emma and Emily can cause quite the deal of confusion in the real world.

90+ Best And Unique Twin Baby Girl Names In 2022, With Meanings
Matching names that match the personalities of your little twin angels.
Welcoming your little ones into this world is a joyful occasion, and more so when you are blessed with twins. So, if you are searching for twin girl names, we are here to help you choose the best ones.
Having twins requires you to stack up a double share of all the essentials required for newborns, from diapers and clothes to cribs. However, one of the best parts of having two adorable little girls is that you could dress them up in matching outfits to flaunt their adorable sisterhood. Hence, when choosing the names for your twin girls, instead of going for unrelated ones, you could select pair names that celebrate their twinship.
In this post, we have listed some amazing twin name ideas for you to choose from.
Choosing The Best Twin Girl Names:
Make an effort to choose names that are compatible stylistically. Choose two modern names or two traditional names, but avoid mix and match. You can also choose two romantic yet feminine names or even go with something androgynous.
When you’re searching twin girl baby names, ask yourself the following questions:
– Do the names emphasize that your children are a pair?
If yes, is this what you want?
Are their names easily confused?
Do you want them to have the same initials?
Do their names lend themselves to nicknames and, if they do, is that what you want?
If so, do the nicknames work together as a pair?
Start discussing possible twins baby girl names with your partner; keep a list of favourite names handy so you can jot down whenever a name pops into your head. Whatever you choose, say your babies’ names aloud with their middles names(if any) and your last name. If you have other children, consider how this pairing will sound in combination with their names.
Other factors to consider when you decide on names for your girls:
Specific traits in the meaning that you’d like to associate with your little babies.
Honouring someone close.
Avoiding embarrassing initials or nicknames.
Steering clear of monikers associated with bad memories.
Appeasing close relatives’ wishes.
Your family history and legacy.
It is said, ‘Good men must die, but death cannot kill their names’. Such is the power of a name! But don’t worry, we’ve sorted it out here, and put down a collection of unique twin baby girl names (with their meanings) that will be both individual and special while not being too unusual – just what you need.

Interesting Ideas for Twin Names: Boy and Girl
The wonderful time of waiting and having babies comes with a search for baby names. Parents always try to find interesting names for their children. It is especially difficult to decide when two children appear in the family at once. In the article, we will consider how to name the twins of a boy and a girl.
Tips for choosing names
First, it is worth noting that it is better not to choose consonant names. Babies may have trouble remembering them because babies will respond to both names.
In advance, it is necessary to think over the combination with the patronymic. The melody of the sound is pleasantly perceived, the child will easily remember the combination. Several vowels or consonants at the junction of the name and patronymic make it difficult to pronounce them.
It is now common to choose names according to Christmas time. It’s a good idea, but don’t take it too seriously. It is better to be guided by your tastes, preferences and beliefs.
Original ideas for choosing names
The most common technique is to choose names starting with one letter. For example, Veronika and Victor, Svetlana and Sergey. Another beautiful idea is paired names (Vasilisa-Vasily, Yaroslav-Yaroslava, Valentina-Valentin), but then the kids are likely to have a problem with the perception of their own «I» in the early stages of growing up. There are a lot of options, but in reality there may be confusion with documents, since the initials and date of birth will match.
Rhyming names are convenient for parents. Full forms are rarely consonant, but affectionate and abbreviated ones can be picked up. Babies Sasha and Masha, Pasha and Dasha, Vasya and Tasya easily remember each other’s names.
Particularly interesting variants can be found in the literature. Heroes of works of art can suggest thoughts on how to name babies. For example, Ruslan and Lyudmila, Tristan and Isolde, Alena and Ivan (sister Alyonushka and her brother Ivanushka).
Parents should remember not to get carried away with too complicated, frilly or unusual names. Otherwise, children cannot avoid ridicule among their peers in kindergarten and school.

The most popular name for boys is still Artyom. Compared to 2020, the names Alexander and Mikhail held their positions, retaining 2nd and 3rd places in the top ten, while the names Dmitry and Ivan gave way to the increasingly popular names Matvey and Roman. Among the female names, the leadership still belongs to Sophia. Compared to 2020, Maria and Ksenia left the top ten popular names, Alice still ranks third, Victoria and Barbara lost their positions, but more and more girls began to call Eva and Anna. In the six months of 2021, only eight girls were born with the name Galina, five with the name Lyudmila, four with the name Tamara, and only two babies with the name Inga. Female Tatar names. Beautiful double names for girls
The question of what name to give to a newborn baby worries parents far from the least. Here, how to give a drink, a whole council of relatives gathers, discussions begin on what and who likes it, then there are “fittings” on the surname and patronymic … so many things to do! We decided to help new parents with the choice and bring to their attention the most beautiful and modern names of girls born in 2016!
Church names for girls — for or against?
Probably, it’s not a secret for anyone that even in ancient times of Ancient Russia, a child was named based on the holy calendar. Born on the day of Mitrofan — be Mitrofan for you, and there is no salvation from this. At least some variety appeared with some passage of time: the calendar expanded, each number in the calendar was assigned to a number of saints and good ones, in whose honor the baby was named. Now, the church calendar of names is not taken into account as the main link in the selection process, but it is he who can become both a guide and an assistant for those who are carefully choosing a name for their child.
Among the many names you can choose something cute and classic at the same time. How do you like dear Mashenka, mischievous Nastasya, reasonable Irina? Svetlana, Ksenia, Uliana, Marina, Julia, Anna — all these are painfully familiar, caressing words that each of us probably fit with some pleasant memories. When choosing a name, be sure to focus on the fact that it evokes positive emotions in the vast majority of the baby’s future environment. Some parents even arrange preliminary “testing”: they “name” their daughter and try to come up with offensive names in rhyme. If it doesn’t work out, well, the child is calmly ready for kindergarten and school. But it’s all very creative.
Speaking of ingenuity. Wanted to come up with an original, unique name for your daughter or granddaughter? Remember, again, about our calendar! Here we have Felicity, and Cecilia, and August, and Cleopatra, and Zinovia, and Glyceria, and Capitolina, and also Virineya, Ariadne, Pelageya, Jonah, Taisia, Efimiya, Vassa, Zlata, Kaleria … can you take everyone into account? So do not miss to once again look into the holy calendar — the scope for imagination here is huge. The main thing, of course, is not to overdo it, because rare names are more important than ever to coordinate with the rest of the data that form the full name.

For 11 months of 2016, 51.8 thousand children were born in Tatarstan (1.7 thousand more boys), follows from the statistics of the registry office of the Republic of Tatarstan. Compared to 2015 for the same period — a decrease of 1.2%. The largest decline in the birth rate (more than 20%) was recorded in the Spassky, Buinsky and Menzelinsky regions of the Republic of Tatarstan, while in Kazan there were 2.6% more children born (in Chelny — a decrease of 0. 8%). The birth rate exceeds the death rate in just a few districts — Almetyevsk, Yelabuga, Nizhnekamsk, Sabinsky, Tukaevsky, as well as in Kazan and Chelny.
Such a decrease in the birth rate was also affected by the overall decrease in the number of marriages — by 14% compared to 2015 (and by a quarter compared to 2013) in the whole country and by 17% — in districts (in Kaibitsky — less by 43 %, Buinsky and Menzelinsky — by 37%, Yutazinsky — by 31%).
Divorces increased by 1.5%. At the same time, in the Tyulyachinsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, their number doubled, in Alkeevsky — a quarter less, but in general the situation in the regions has not changed at all. Four out of five divorces are based on the decision of the courts (and in Aksubaevsky and Atninsky districts — all 100%).
This year, 16% of children in the republic were born in incomplete families, their share has decreased by 0.5% over the year. At the same time, the proportion of first-born children is falling (40% versus 42%), but second and third children have begun to be born more often. Tatarstan residents have become a little (2.6%) less likely to establish paternity and much less often — by a quarter — to adopt children. For 10 months, 8 triplets and 413 twins were born in Tatarstan.
As for the names of newborns, the most popular among boys are Timur, Amir and Karim, and among girls — Yasmina, Sofia and Amina. The probability that in 6-7 years in a class of 27 people there will definitely be one Timur is 80%, one Yasmina is 66%.
In general, the first 40 male names in popularity are borne by half of all newborn boys in the Republic of Tajikistan. Similarly, for girls: half of all newborn girls have only 35 names.
Half of all names are unique, carried by only one child born this year. Among them are male Abdulildan, Abdulkudus, Adam Mustafa, Adrian, Azariy, Aydamir, Alemzar, Altan-Deniz, Altyn, Ambrose, Angel, Aramais, Arius, Armand Alexander Armstrong, Batu, Bruce, Velimir, Vonifaty, Galaktion, Galiaskar, Gideon , Gizzat, Dayan-Suleiman, Joni, Donat, Yosin, Zhavokhirbek, Zachary, Zubaer, Inel-Sami-Assane, John, Joseph, Jonathan, Kai, Laurus, Lucas, Marco Antonio, Muhammad-Abdulmalik, Muhammadbobur, Muhammadiy, Muhammad Ali , Nikifor, Nikon, Pahom, Pirmagomed, Ragnar, Roy-Nathanel, Safir, Suares, Sufyon, Talib, Ulysses, Elbrus, Emilien, Erast, Chulimev Galaktion Srilavanda.
Girls have a lot of interesting names too — Adalin, Ajme, Altyn, Aizaniya, Ainoa, Almaziya, Aminad, Apollinaria, Artemis, Asmoa, Bao Chau, Barchinoy, Virsaria, Gerda, Deya, Juwayria, Dijle-Melisa, Juliet, Diora, Genevieve, Zumrud, Ilyuna, Ladomira, Loya, Luna-Victoria, Magdalena, Malvina, Maryana-Marfa, Mahfirat, Milalika, Mia Antonia, Mumina, Mumtoza, Oybibi, Patimat, Purza, Rajabmo, Roziyamo, Rugayya, Sarvinoz, Temi-Miroslava , Khusnury, Tsvetana, Elaria, Esmeralda, Estelle, Yaseniya.

If you want names to be beautifully combined, there are options.
Read alsoFactors that affect the chances of conceiving twins Twins spend a lot of time together, their names often sound together. And therefore, often parents want the names to be consonant. What are the options?
1. It is important to remember that if you choose names that start with the same letter, then the girls will have exactly the same initials. This can lead to confusion in documents and in any situation where initials appear.
2. Please note that if the full names are similar, then the abbreviated ones can be very different — and vice versa. That is, if you choose consonant full names, but you will never use them, and the abbreviated versions are not consonant, then the whole point of such a selection is lost.
Read also You have twins: TOP 5 obvious signs 3. Beautifully combined «flower» names: Rose, Jasmine, Lily, Azalea, Margarita, Camellia.
4. Women’s names that have a male counterpart sound good together: Stanislava, Vladislava, Ivanna, Vitaly, Ruslana, Bogdana, Valeria, Victoria, Evgenia, Alexandra.
The expectant mother, who is expecting twin girls, can only be congratulated. This is not just two new lives at once — these are two princesses, two beautiful flowers that will grow in the house. But how difficult it is to come up with ideal names for these flowers) There are many beautiful female names, but here it is necessary to take into account not only the tastes of relatives, the features of the middle name and surname, but also the compatibility of the two names with each other. Today I will offer you a selection of original and very gentle combinations of names for girls.
1. Two names consisting of the same letters, but at the same time completely different: Nina and Inna. If you do not chase excessive extravagance, then they will fit perfectly: these names are familiar to everyone, but still quite rare.
2. Delicate and melodious names that differ by only one letter and yet are perceived in completely different ways: Yesenia and Ksenia. Both names are now quite common among babies. Despite the similarity, they have abbreviations that are not similar to each other. Everyone knows Ksyusha, but some parents call Yesenia Yesya, some Senya, and some don’t cut it at all so as not to lose such beauty.
3. Delicate and feminine names, beautifully echoing in sound: Camille and Melissa. The meaning of Camilla is perfect, noble, of impeccable origin, in addition, her sound echoes the Latin name for chamomile. Melissa — bee, honey. In my opinion, a wonderful combination of small Daisies and Bees)
4. Refined and noble names, glorified by world artistic culture: Eliza and Laura. Laura is the muse of the poet Petrarch, who inspired his world-famous love sonnets. Elisa is a mysterious girl to whom Beethoven dedicated one of the most beautiful works of classical music.
5. Gentle union of two flower names: Camellia and Azalea. Camellia most likely comes from the flower of the same name. Azalea, according to one version, was formed from the name of an unusual flower, which sometimes is an unremarkable piece, but during flowering it is completely transformed.
Camellia flower
Camellia flower
6. A harmonious pair in which both names consist of three letters, and in the letter capital letters will be a mirror image of each other: Eva and Zoya. The name Eve is of Hebrew origin and means «giving life.» Zoya comes from the Greek language and also means «life», and perhaps even an ancient translation of the biblical name Eve.

Which option would you choose?
How to choose names for twins: same-sex and opposite-sex
The birth of two babies at once is a great joy for parents. But it is harder to choose consonant names for them than for one child. Most parents have little consonant pronunciation with the surname and patronymic. They are looking for a common idea that would unite the names of children.
It is also important to choose names of similar origin. Couples like Vasily and Daniel or Aksinya and Ophelia will sound comical.
Names for same-sex twins
It is believed that it is easier for same-sex babies to come up with names — there are much more consonant options.
For girls
It is undesirable to start names for twin girls with the same letter or make them similar. Firstly, in this way, parents only strengthen the external similarity and do not allow individuality to develop. Secondly, Arina and Darina will most likely be confused at school, and Alice and Anfisa will have the same initials at all, which will make even more confusion.
If you really want the names to be consonant, it is better to focus on a similar ending:
the principle of meaning — Elizabeth and Catherine will give the girls royal strength of mind, and Lily and Sophia will emphasize their inner beauty.
The main thing is that the desire to combine names does not overcome common sense. No need to try to combine names into one value. Girls born in January do not have to be called Yana and Varya. And lovers of Chinese philosophy should stop at Ying and Yang.
Names for girls →
For boys
Names for twin boys are chosen according to similar principles. Matvey and Mikhail sound, of course, in tune, but at school, children with the same initials will have a hard time.
If you choose according to the consonance of full forms, good options will be:0011
Michael and Daniels of Hebrew origin;
Vladimir and Svyatoslav with Slavic origins;
Igor and Oleg are from Scandinavia.
Sometimes boys are named after famous brothers:
Boris and Gleb (famous princes),
Mikhail and Fyodor (Dostoevsky),
Boris and Arkady (Strugatsky),
Peter and Paul (apostles) .
However, it is easy to overdo it here: Anthony and Theodosius (Russian elders) or Cosmas and Damian (unmercenaries). Such paired names for twins are already too much.
Names for boys →
Names for twins of different sexes
But names for twins of different sexes, on the contrary, are often chosen with the same first letter. Among harmonious couples:
Arseniy / Artem and Arina,
Oleg and Olga / Olesya,
Elisha and Yesenia / Elizaveta,
Dmitry and Darina,
Mikhail and Maria,
Mark0 9085 Pavel and Polina.
Consonant names for opposite-sex twins can also be selected according to the short form of names:
Sasha and Masha,
Roma and Tom,
Olya and Kolya,
Misha and Irisha,
Pasha and Glasha;
Andryusha and Varyusha
Vanya and Tanya.
It is highly discouraged to choose paired variants of the same name. Alexander and Alexandra or Evgeny and Evgeny will be confused not only by teachers at school, but also by relatives at home.
Children should be named in such a way that when they grow up they do not hold a grudge against their parents. It is necessary to find the optimal combination between pleasant consonance, strong meaning and origin. The child, of course, is not a ship, but the name in his life also means a lot, because it is the most powerful carrier of information about his personality.

compared to the names of the girls -twins, it might get a little more difficult when you start coming up with names for boys and girls. With so many great names, choosing the best name combination takes a little more than choosing names that sound good together.
The task of coming up with the perfect names for them can lead you to start drawing on an entire notebook and still not get anywhere. So, first of all, be grateful that you have two beautiful babies on the way. Take inspiration from knowing that choosing a name for each of them can be a great trip!
How to choose the best name combination for boy and girl twins
You want names that complement each other. They also need to sound like they go together naturally and are easy to pronounce and remember. To help you with this, we have some tips to help speed up the process.
Consider choosing your twins’ first letter names. This is probably the easiest way to do this. You can be inspired by this year’s popular names or the names of people you know and like.
To get creative, you can vary the sound and rhythm of the names you have in mind, paying attention to the syllable or sound. You can have two-syllable names, such as Max and Bea. You can also have two names with the same middle or ending sound.
Choose names based on style or theme. You can combine two really compatible classic names like Alexander and Katherine, or choose the trendy names Carly and Hunter. Another naming style is a display of creativity from exotic people like Ingrid and Dante.
It’s also a good idea to choose names based on a similar theme. You can have a destination theme for twin names like Paris and Brooklyn, or nature-inspired twin names like Aspen and Autumn.
Choose the appropriate names according to their meaning. This gives you tons of great options. For example, if you want your twins’ names to reflect the word «lion», emphasizing the virtues of a «lion heart», then their names could be Ariel and Leo.
If you want them to be based on the Jewish faith, namely, «Who is like God?» then the names Michael and Michaela might be a good match. All these names will depend on what you think of.
Choose names for your twins according to origin. This not only preserves your family heritage, but also gives your twins’ names much more meaning. Of course, choosing names based on ancestry is not exclusive to those who belong to a particular culture or heritage.
For example, names inspired by Scottish heritage could be Blair and Cameron. If you prefer German, you can go with Christopher and Claudia.

Trying to think of the perfect names for your twins? It can often be quite difficult to choose a name for one child, let alone twins!
It gets even more difficult if you decide to wait to find out the sex of the twins until they are born! You may want to have three name combinations to choose from depending on what appears.
When choosing names for twins, it’s often helpful to choose one name that you both love and then choose an additional name
The Huffington Post describes ways to choose baby names for twins, which I thought were genius and were a great start if you have problems even with the beginning of the thought process. They offer a range of options from the obvious to the very subtle.
Ways to come up with double name combinations
First initial
The most obvious and popular way to name twins is to give them the same first letters: Ella and Emma or Lilly and Logan . If you are looking for a simple option, then this is definitely your best choice. Choose your favorite name, then scroll through the list of names with the same first letter and make your own short list — easy!
By syllables or sounds
Less obvious than matching the first initial in twin names is the choice of two names with the same number of syllables or similar sounds. You can choose two one-syllable names, for example, Bea and Max , or two names that have a middle or final sound, such as Oliver and Everett or Aiden and Carson .
Style
Style
is a more subtle way of linking twin names that you can have some fun and use your imagination with. You can create compatible pairs of classic names like Jacob and Olivia , or trendy names like Madison and Jayden , or unusual exotic names like Santiago and Sebastian .
meaning
Meaning can be an interesting way to seamlessly link twins’ names. Some common name meanings offer a wide variety of names to choose from. Nameberry has 440 names with meanings that include the word God, for example, so you can find pairs that range from trendy Caleb and Amos to laid back Elizabeth and Jane . More specialized values offer fewer choices but a stronger relationship: for example, Aurelia and Cressida mean gold, and Ariel and Leo mean lion.
Origin
Origin related names may be quiet or more obvious. Many people recognize that Duncan and Malcolm are of Scottish origin, for example, but fewer people identify Blair and Cameron as having the same same Scottish origin.
related
You can choose names based on a children’s book, e.g. Matilda and Alice , or two names with a secret meaning of nature, for example Yara (meaning butterfly) and Paloma (dove). Other examples of a theme might be place names, family names, or names related to the sea.
By popularity
Finding two names with the same position on the popularity scale can be a simplified way to determine a compatible pair. It could be top 50 favorites like Nathan and Isaac (who also share a biblical theme and Jewish heritage) or a more unusual couple like Freya and Lilia side by side at numbers 08 and 09.
You can ask in our Twins & More group on Facebook or other twin groups to see what others have chosen. This is a great way to get new ideas, about which you may not have thought about.

Wow twins?!? You’re lucky! What an amazing journey you are about to embark on! Hopefully by now the tremors and nausea have subsided and the excitement has subsided! So, it’s time to come up with pretty names for your cute twin girls!
Coming up with names for children can be tricky because he will be attached to them for the rest of his life! So, you need to make sure you have the time to allow you and your spouse to discuss the many names before making a final decision.

TIPS FOR CHOOSING A NAME
When choosing a female name or patronymic for twin girls, there are many factors to consider. Depending on what is most important to you, there can be many variables.
You may not like the name very much at first, but once you start to associate it with your child, you will fall in love with it.
Here are a few questions I asked myself when choosing a first and middle name for a girl. You can prioritize them for your family because not all of them will be as important as others.
Do you want to use your last name or initials?
Do you want both names to start with the same letter or the same sound?
Do names mean good things to them?
Do they matter to us or our family?
Are there aliases for these names that we want to use or avoid?
Are they too popular?
Aren’t they too unique?
Do the first names go well with your last name?
Do you have any negative associations with them?
What will be the initials?
What will this name sound like when they become adults or professional?
The biggest tip of is to ignore what others think or say about the names you are considering or choosing. This is such a personal decision for you and your family, so don’t let other outside influencers change your mind.
Once you narrow down the list to 2-4 names, I suggest choosing one name per week during pregnancy and naming your children by that name. Whenever you talk about «babies», call them by that name.
Change it to a different name later this week. Do this for several weeks, choosing from the most suitable options, to see which names stick and seem most sincere to you. Once you start naming your children by these names, you will feel an even greater connection with them.
P.S. Start your registry right now!
Now, before you start naming and decorating the nursery, don’t forget to set up the baby register! Get started early because you may hear about many essential baby items sooner than you think. At least then you’ll have a place to save them in a list so you can remember what you’ll need later.
Enroll in the trusted Buy Buy Baby program for your baby registry to get everything your baby needs! They give you a freebie and a 15% discount on register completion as a bonus!

Before you even start with names, make sure you have a children’s registry. You’ll find and hear about many things newborns need while you’re pregnant and you want to be able to quickly add or save them to your wishlist/roster so you don’t forget!
Amazon Baby Registry is the best option. You get a few free items in the welcome box, free shipping, 10-15% off all remaining items on your list, and it’s Amazon, so you’re going to be buying everything there anyway!

What horrible names they chose!!! I know one Iraida — all her life she has been embarrassed by her rude name and asks everyone to call her Irina. Call them normal names, without squeezing, so that the children are not laughed at, bullied at school and the children do not think that you are complete idiots, since you gave your children idiotic names. Simple names: Masha and Dasha Marina and Irina Tatiana and Elena Sofia and Polina Vera and Nadezhda Galina and Valentina Katerina and Natalya

For example, Iraida and Yuliana Margarita and Roksolana Sabrina — Roxana Adeline — Emilia Evelina — Sabrina Nicole — Vilena Renata — Iraida Dominika — Jessica Sylvia — Rosalia sounds very cool for me3)) Guest

Then let’s call our Russian children Azamats! Girls: Fatima, Samira, what beautiful names! And so the Russian language was already half replaced by a foreign one, all the shops, company names are all in a foreign language, all the children still have to be called in a Western way, and that’s all, we can be considered conquered!

50 TWIN NAMES — LIFE
When choosing the perfect name for your twins, you have several ways to do it. You can give them names that start with the same letter or have the same sound. You can name them after famous sets of twins. You can also just give them a name that is stylistically the same. For example, you could give both of your daughters a flower-based name, a Bible name, or an old-fashioned name.
You must be careful what you call your daughters. Being a twin can sometimes feel like an obligation. While they might look cute in matching outfits right now, they’ll want to be themselves someday. They will not want to have a name that is too similar, because one day they will need independence. When you start considering baby names, be careful. The best option is to choose two names that are stylistically compatible without being too similar or attractive. When your daughters grow up, they will thank you for your attentiveness. Names for twin girls?

Baby name
Choose a name. And settled on two that start with the same letter. My husband and I think that the names are not similar. Psychologists write that names cannot be consonant or start with the same letter. But is it really so? We really like the combination of 2 names.
can you name names?
Arina and Polina
Olga and Elena
And I like it when sisters, especially twins, have consonant names, and it’s great too! But I’m not a psychologist, and they, too, you know, sometimes they will write this
I know the family, there is the eldest Anastasia and the twins Antonina and Anna. Names were specially chosen for everyone with one letter, so that the initials were the same. It’s hard when the names are consonant with your sister (not a twin) Tanya and Tonya. Many are confused. Not us, of course — the names when they call or address or talk about us. In pairs Tanya-Anya and Valya-Galya, the same nonsense.
It’s interesting how differently the same factor can be perceived by different people… For me, the sisters’ identical initials would definitely be a minus, especially for twins, who also have the same date of birth.
my son’s name in the group of twin girls is Yaroslav and Vlad, I personally don’t like these names.
We named ours Sophia and Arina. There were options: Sonya and Fields, Sonya and Tonya, Sophia and Ulyana, Sophia and Ksenia. Ina really liked the option Sofya and Alina, Sophia and Alice, but Alina is our niece, Alice is the goddaughter of friends, so we didn’t repeat ourselves. You can Angelina and Alina. The girl’s girlfriend has twins Masha and Sasha. There are a lot of options. We still need to look at the babies when they are born. Here Sonya is 150% suitable, and Arishka is only 100% … everything is spinning in the head Alice and Ksyusha
It seems to me that everything should not be taken literally, indeed, for successful and full-fledged self-identification, twins should not have names that sound too similar — as Tonya and Tanya wrote above, for example. But consonant and starting with the same letter does not mean similar. For example, Christina and Karina, Marina and Marta / Margarita, etc. I personally love it when sisters have names from the same opera, harmoniously combined, well, like … Uliana and Aksinya or Anastasia and Elizaveta.
Xenia)) Well, maybe after a while you will have a chance to use these names too))
I had a quirk if there are twins — Anya and Yana (Anna and Yanina)… By the way, the most popular names for us last year… Well, quirk — he is a quirk…
Kira and Mila.
Anya and Yana, just like the «Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors» — Olya and Yalo, remember? My husband and his sister specifically named so that the initials were the same. They are not twins, the difference is 4 years, my mother just wanted it so much)
Zita and Gita are solid, not variants.
Elena, Madeleine Sophia, Elizabeth Maria, Daria (Masha Dasha
expanse for fantasy)))
Ira-Iya
Marta and Maya!
Yana and Mariana
My grandfather’s three older brothers and sister are all named with B, and for some reason he is George. !
Yep
Olya and Polya. This is the name of the daughters of my work colleague. I love this combination of names!
You shouldn’t. I know a cheerful, charming, smart Tsvetana. I can’t even imagine another name for her.
Alenka and Alinka!
Oil-buttered
you yourself are a gray gita
And then you are also a gray gita Xenia and Christina, Lydia and Larisa. And you can still Anya and Yana Although they do not start with one letter, they contain the same letters A, H, and Z
Where??? One Yanochka, the other Maryasha. http://gramota.ru/slovari/dic/?word=%EC%E0%F1%EB%EE+%EC%E0%F1%EB*%ED%EE%E5&all=x
Girls do not quarrel, this is I gave the names of existing twin sisters in our club.
Dear author, what was your name? did you choose something?
Liza and Alice
We have Irina and Ekaterina. It seems that they are consonant, and at the same time completely different Ira and Katya.
you can throw something at me, but I worked at school for 2 years, and I will tell you that with the same initials and similar-sounding names, there will simply be eternal confusion, because they will study in the same class with you.
it will be very insulting — Yana .. as if a stub from Maryana .. she persuaded her friend not to call her like that .. I wanted Evangelina and Alina — I am very grateful for the opinion
So you can find fault with any name . … and all short names will be «stubs» in your opinion? For example, AntoNina and Nina, Veronika and Nika or Vera, Tatyana and Yana, Uliana and Yana, MariAnna and Anna, Kristina and Tina
Alena and Yana. They start with the first and last letter of the alphabet — they will have everything from «A» to «Z», a bright, full life, the names end in tune. My eldest name is Alena, I thought if the second child is a girl, I’ll call Yana. A Boy was born, so it didn’t come in handy.
When I was expecting twins, I actually dreamed about the names Ulyana and Polina. But the boys were born — it was not possible to use it.
as an independent name (the only one) in the family I fully admit, but there is no derivative from the first .. It’s better not at all consonant, but it’s my own and not from the letters of the first .. I wouldn’t name it in your combinations .. better Antonina-Veronika, Nina -Vera, Ulyana-Marianna…
Let’s look the other way. The girl who was born first can be called Maryana. And Yana, the one who was born after Maryana. The counter-arguments below are also very convincing. It’s not far from absurd here. The name Jan was discussed here recently. Argument against-they will call names Yank-monkey. With the same success it can be Svetka the pipette, Lyudka the pipe, Ninka the club… But on the other hand, I don’t insist. I just came up with this option.
Yes, these are apparently my cockroaches, well, for example, it would not be very pleasant for me to be Yana after Maryana. And I didn’t even think about name calling, they never called me names, although it might be difficult to come up with something obvious for the name Lilia
In general, I wouldn’t choose consonant names for children, but I would call them the ones that I just like

The best combinations of names for twins
In astrology, there are a number of conditions to consider when choosing names for twins and twins:
The full forms of names should be approximately equal so that each child feels important.
The names must be equivalent. For example, Bogdan and Yaroslav sound almost identical to the ear. But the combination of the names Vasily and Andrey is discordant. The name Andrei sounds brighter, and Vasily fades phonetically against his background.
It is good if the letters in the names of the twins are repeated, or the first letter of the names is the same.
