This Lemonade Cleanse recipe is the perfect way to start the New Year. Achieve those resolutions with this easy and delicious spin on the Master Cleanse recipe! This warm lemon detox recipe tastes great, is super simple, and will get you ready for Summer any time of year!
What’s in Lemonade Detox Water?
This lemonade cleanse recipe is the perfect way to kick off the New Year. Inspired by the Master Cleanse recipe, this homemade detox lemonade is just as healthy but tastes even better!
- Lemon Juice: High in vitamin C, antioxidants, and citric acid, which can help to stimulate digestion, support liver function, and aid in the elimination of toxins from the body.
- Honey: A natural sweetener that provides the body with the necessary energy during the fast. It is also rich in vitamins and minerals, including calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc.
- Cayenne Pepper: Contains capsaicin, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. It also helps to boost metabolism and improve circulation.
- Ground Ginger: High in antioxidants and helps settle the stomach from the acidic lemon juice.
- Hot Water: Essential for hydration and helps to flush out toxins from the body.
It is recommended that you consult a healthcare professional before starting any new diet or fasting regimen.
Variations on Detox Lemonade
This lemon detox recipe is a fun take on the Master Cleanse. I made a few tweaks to the others I saw out there, and I think this one tastes a lot better. I can actually enjoy drinking it instead of just forcing it down!
If you’re looking to make the true Master Cleanse recipe, for each serving, you’ll need 10 ounces of water, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
Is this the same as the Master Cleanse?
Not quite! The Master Cleanse is very specific about each ingredient and its purpose. I personally was not so much a fan of the taste, though, so I created my own recipe inspired by the Master Cleanse. I swapped the maple syrup for honey and added in some spicy ground ginger.
How long do you do this cleanse?
It’s recommended to do the Master Cleanse over a period of 7-10 days. This lemonade is perfect for a full cleanse or just as a detox from a heavy day of eating. It’s really up to you how you make this work as part of your diet.
How many glasses should I drink in a day?
If you’re doing a full cleanse, you can have 6-12 glasses of this lemonade per day. If you’re more like me, feel free to enjoy this as a refreshing drink throughout the day.
How to Store
Store leftover detox lemonade in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave to warm before enjoying.
Serving Suggestions
This lemonade cleanse is designed to be consumed during a period of fasting; however, I also enjoy it as part of a balanced diet. If you do choose to fast, you’ll want to add solid foods back in slowly so as not to upset your stomach too much.
As you begin to reintroduce solid foods to your diet at the end of the cleanse, start by adding liquids like orange juice or vegetable broth. After a day or two, you can resume eating fruits, vegetables, and salads.
I like to start with a simple grilled peach salad, kale Caesar salad, strawberry salad, or Mandarin orange salad. Finally, you can begin to reintroduce healthy solid foods. I recommend cabbage soup, steak salad, Mexican zucchini boats, taco lettuce wraps, or vegetable stir fry.

- ▢ 1 cup lemon juice (from about 8 lemons)
- ▢ 2 tablespoons honey
- ▢ ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ▢ ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- ▢ 4 cups hot water

In a mug, combine the lemon juice, honey, and spices. Stir well to combine as much as possible.
1 cup lemon juice, 2 tablespoons honey, ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Pour hot water into four separate glasses, about 1 cup each.
4 cups hot water

Top each with ¼ of the lemon mixture, making 4 drinks total.

Hollywood diet for 14 days (tomato, egg, meat, apple) — losing weight on a trendy diet
Hollywood diet has long been of great interest and curious views of all domestic celebrities. Of course, after all, such world stars as Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and others adhered to this famous diet. This material is devoted specifically to this method of dealing with excess weight.
Hollywood Diet Basics:
The whole point of this well-known food system is that you need to eat foods that contain a small amount of carbohydrates. The diet consists of a limited amount of calories and fat. The menu consists of dishes such as meat, fish and eggs. Plant foods provide fiber and complex carbohydrates to the body. Also, throughout the diet, you need to drink as much liquid as possible, at least 2 liters of water without gas or green tea without sugar. Unfortunately, you should say goodbye to breakfast, because this is the main principle of the Hollywood diet.
There is also a less severe version of this weight loss technique. It provides a light breakfast with half a grapefruit and green tea without sugar. The diet prohibits the use of alcoholic beverages, bread, sugar, salt, sweets and starchy foods. Dishes can be cooked both steamed and boiled.
Hollywood Diet Menu:
Days 1 and 8:
- Lunch: 1 tomato and a chicken egg (a couple of quail eggs as an option), green tea without sugar.
- Dinner: salad with cabbage and cucumbers and 1 chicken egg (as an option, a couple of quail eggs), 0.5 grapefruit, still water.
Second and ninth days:
- Lunch: chicken egg (or 2 quail eggs), grapefruit and green tea.
- Dinner: meat — 200 g, cucumber and green tea.
Third and tenth days:
- Lunch: chicken egg (or 2 quail eggs), small tomato or salad with cabbage and cucumbers, and coffee without sugar.
- Dinner: dietary meat — 200 g, 1 cucumber and green tea.
Fourth and eleventh days:
- Lunch: salad with cabbage, cucumbers and greens, a small grapefruit and green tea.
- Dinner: chicken egg (2 quail), low-fat cottage cheese — 200 g, still water.
Fifth and twelfth days:
- Lunch: 1 egg (2 quail), and salad with cabbage and cucumbers and green tea.
- Dinner: salad with cabbage and cucumbers, fish and water (green tea, coffee).
Sixth and thirteenth days:
- Lunch: salad (orange, grapefruit and apple).
- Dinner: cabbage salad, lean meat — 200 g, green tea.
Seventh and fourteenth days:
- Lunch: cucumbers with herbs (cabbage salad), boiled chicken breast — 200 g, natural coffee.
- Dinner: salad (orange, grapefruit and apple), green tea.
Advantages of the Hollywood diet:
The positive aspects of the Hollywood diet include the fact that there are no restrictions on servings of cabbage salad. You can also choose your own varieties of cabbage. This technique allows you to quickly get rid of 7-10 kilograms. The fact that prohibitions are imposed on both alcohol, salt and flour products cleanses your body and helps to normalize metabolic processes in the body.
Disadvantages of the Hollywood diet:
If there are pros, there must be cons. So it is in our case. This technique allows you to both quickly lose weight and gain it again with malnutrition. You can only eat twice a day, so there may be problems with the digestive system. Eyewitnesses also note severe headaches and dizziness.
In addition, the diet is low in calories and the body will receive less vitamins and microelements.

Hollywood diet (egg, beef, veal) — losing weight on a fashionable diet
Everyone who wants to lose weight is looking for his own diet and diet.
For those who cannot force themselves to swallow even a crumb in the morning, the Hollywood diet, which many brilliant Hollywood actresses have successfully tried, is suitable.
The essence of the Hollywood diet:
In addition to the lack of breakfast, the Hollywood diet involves a complete rejection of alcohol, pastries and sweets, carbonated drinks, canned foods and smoked meats. Every day you need to drink 1.5-2 liters of clean water, if you prefer mineral, then without gas.
The Hollywood diet is designed for a week, but it is often doubled by repeating the menu of the days in order (the menu of the eighth day completely repeats the menu of the first day, and so on). In a week, weight loss is 5-7 kilograms, in two weeks you can lose up to 10.
Hollywood Diet Menu:
Monday
- Lunch: bagged egg, ripe tomato, cup of coffee without sugar;
- Dinner: hard boiled egg, lettuce dressed with olive oil and lemon juice, grapefruit.
Tuesday
- Lunch: hard boiled egg, grapefruit, cup of green tea or coffee without sugar;
- Dinner: 200 gr. grilled lean beef, cucumber, a cup of coffee without sugar.
Wednesday
- Lunch: bagged egg, 100 gr. stewed spinach, tomato, a cup of green tea;
- Dinner: 250 gr. veal, steamed or grilled, cucumber, a cup of coffee without sugar.
Thursday
- Lunch: lettuce leaves, grapefruit, a cup of coffee without sugar;
- Dinner: hard-boiled egg, 150 gr. low-fat cottage cheese, a cup of green tea.
Friday
- Lunch: bagged egg, 100 gr. stewed spinach, a cup of coffee without sugar;
- Dinner: 250 gr. fish, boiled or steamed, lettuce leaves, a cup of coffee without sugar.
Saturday
- Lunch: 2 apples, orange, grapefruit, seasoned with lemon juice;
- Dinner: 200 gr. beef, boiled or steamed, cucumber, a cup of green tea.
Sunday
- Lunch: a portion of broccoli, zucchini, carrot and bell pepper soup, 200 gr.
