2 tablespoons wheat germ
1/2 cup prune juice
3 tablespoons aloe vera juice
1/2 cup orange juice or 1 orange
1 apple
1/2 cup fresh pineapple (or banana)
2 cups ice
Raisins, optional
Low fat fruit yogurt, optional


Mix altogether in a blender and refrigerate. Drink as desired.
Use this for 2 days. You can have all you want.

What’s in Lemonade Detox Water?

This lemonade cleanse recipe is the perfect way to kick off the New Year. Inspired by the Master Cleanse recipe, this homemade detox lemonade is just as healthy but tastes even better!

  • Lemon Juice: High in vitamin C, antioxidants, and citric acid, which can help to stimulate digestion, support liver function, and aid in the elimination of toxins from the body.
  • Honey: A natural sweetener that provides the body with the necessary energy during the fast. It is also rich in vitamins and minerals, including calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc.
  • Cayenne Pepper: Contains capsaicin, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. It also helps to boost metabolism and improve circulation.
  • Ground Ginger: High in antioxidants and helps settle the stomach from the acidic lemon juice.
  • Hot Water: Essential for hydration and helps to flush out toxins from the body.

It is recommended that you consult a healthcare professional before starting any new diet or fasting regimen.

Variations on Detox Lemonade

This lemon detox recipe is a fun take on the Master Cleanse. I made a few tweaks to the others I saw out there, and I think this one tastes a lot better. I can actually enjoy drinking it instead of just forcing it down!

If you’re looking to make the true Master Cleanse recipe, for each serving, you’ll need 10 ounces of water, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.

Is this the same as the Master Cleanse?

Not quite! The Master Cleanse is very specific about each ingredient and its purpose. I personally was not so much a fan of the taste, though, so I created my own recipe inspired by the Master Cleanse. I swapped the maple syrup for honey and added in some spicy ground ginger.

How long do you do this cleanse?

It’s recommended to do the Master Cleanse over a period of 7-10 days. This lemonade is perfect for a full cleanse or just as a detox from a heavy day of eating. It’s really up to you how you make this work as part of your diet.

How many glasses should I drink in a day?

If you’re doing a full cleanse, you can have 6-12 glasses of this lemonade per day. If you’re more like me, feel free to enjoy this as a refreshing drink throughout the day.

How to Store

Store leftover detox lemonade in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave to warm before enjoying.

Serving Suggestions

This lemonade cleanse is designed to be consumed during a period of fasting; however, I also enjoy it as part of a balanced diet. If you do choose to fast, you’ll want to add solid foods back in slowly so as not to upset your stomach too much.

As you begin to reintroduce solid foods to your diet at the end of the cleanse, start by adding liquids like orange juice or vegetable broth. After a day or two, you can resume eating fruits, vegetables, and salads.

I like to start with a simple grilled peach salad, kale Caesar salad, strawberry salad, or Mandarin orange salad. Finally, you can begin to reintroduce healthy solid foods. I recommend cabbage soup, steak salad, Mexican zucchini boats, taco lettuce wraps, or vegetable stir fry.

  • ▢ 1 cup lemon juice (from about 8 lemons)
  • ▢ 2 tablespoons honey
  • ▢ ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ▢ ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ▢ 4 cups hot water
  • In a mug, combine the lemon juice, honey, and spices. Stir well to combine as much as possible.

    1 cup lemon juice, 2 tablespoons honey, ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

  • Pour hot water into four separate glasses, about 1 cup each.

    4 cups hot water

  • Top each with ¼ of the lemon mixture, making 4 drinks total.

Hollywood diet for 14 days (tomato, egg, meat, apple) — losing weight on a trendy diet

Hollywood diet has long been of great interest and curious views of all domestic celebrities. Of course, after all, such world stars as Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and others adhered to this famous diet. This material is devoted specifically to this method of dealing with excess weight.

Hollywood Diet Basics:

The whole point of this well-known food system is that you need to eat foods that contain a small amount of carbohydrates. The diet consists of a limited amount of calories and fat. The menu consists of dishes such as meat, fish and eggs. Plant foods provide fiber and complex carbohydrates to the body. Also, throughout the diet, you need to drink as much liquid as possible, at least 2 liters of water without gas or green tea without sugar. Unfortunately, you should say goodbye to breakfast, because this is the main principle of the Hollywood diet.

There is also a less severe version of this weight loss technique. It provides a light breakfast with half a grapefruit and green tea without sugar. The diet prohibits the use of alcoholic beverages, bread, sugar, salt, sweets and starchy foods. Dishes can be cooked both steamed and boiled.

Hollywood Diet Menu:

Days 1 and 8:

  • Lunch: 1 tomato and a chicken egg (a couple of quail eggs as an option), green tea without sugar.
  • Dinner: salad with cabbage and cucumbers and 1 chicken egg (as an option, a couple of quail eggs), 0.5 grapefruit, still water.

Second and ninth days:

  • Lunch: chicken egg (or 2 quail eggs), grapefruit and green tea.
  • Dinner: meat — 200 g, cucumber and green tea.

Third and tenth days:

  • Lunch: chicken egg (or 2 quail eggs), small tomato or salad with cabbage and cucumbers, and coffee without sugar.
  • Dinner: dietary meat — 200 g, 1 cucumber and green tea.

Fourth and eleventh days:

  • Lunch: salad with cabbage, cucumbers and greens, a small grapefruit and green tea.
  • Dinner: chicken egg (2 quail), low-fat cottage cheese — 200 g, still water.

Fifth and twelfth days:

  • Lunch: 1 egg (2 quail), and salad with cabbage and cucumbers and green tea.
  • Dinner: salad with cabbage and cucumbers, fish and water (green tea, coffee).

Sixth and thirteenth days:

  • Lunch: salad (orange, grapefruit and apple).
  • Dinner: cabbage salad, lean meat — 200 g, green tea.

Seventh and fourteenth days:

  • Lunch: cucumbers with herbs (cabbage salad), boiled chicken breast — 200 g, natural coffee.
  • Dinner: salad (orange, grapefruit and apple), green tea.

Advantages of the Hollywood diet:

The positive aspects of the Hollywood diet include the fact that there are no restrictions on servings of cabbage salad. You can also choose your own varieties of cabbage. This technique allows you to quickly get rid of 7-10 kilograms. The fact that prohibitions are imposed on both alcohol, salt and flour products cleanses your body and helps to normalize metabolic processes in the body.

Disadvantages of the Hollywood diet:

If there are pros, there must be cons. So it is in our case. This technique allows you to both quickly lose weight and gain it again with malnutrition. You can only eat twice a day, so there may be problems with the digestive system. Eyewitnesses also note severe headaches and dizziness.

In addition, the diet is low in calories and the body will receive less vitamins and microelements.

The Hollywood diet is aimed at rapid weight loss, not always healthy, but very effective. A meager diet allows you to lose an average of 10 to 14 kilograms in 2 weeks. The brightest Hollywood stars resort to this nutrition system in cases where they need to bring their bodies back to normal in a short time, hence the name «Hollywood Stars Diet».

The essence of this tough weight loss method is to drastically limit carbohydrate intake and reduce the daily calorie intake to 600-800 kcal. Such a sharp restriction can lead to negative consequences, but the weight will go away quickly.

The only benefit of the diet is the speed of weight loss. This is a great way to achieve the desired volume in a short time. But one should consider whether the temporary transformation is worth such sacrifices.

Hollywood Diet Disadvantages and Warnings

  1. Severely low daily calorie intake quickly leads to decreased performance, dizziness, and poor health. Try not to be nervous, reduce the activity of the lifestyle to a minimum, forget about physical activity for a while.
  2. A monotonous and poor menu can lead to problems with the kidneys, adrenal glands, and the gastrointestinal tract. Carefully monitor your condition, in case of problems, be sure to consult a doctor.
  3. The diet is contraindicated for hypertensive patients, as it provides for a large amount of caffeine and chicken eggs in the diet, which can lead to increased pressure.
  4. Contraindications to the diet can be any health problems, the presence of chronic diseases such as diabetes, kidney failure, gastritis, ulcers, and so on. Discussing the diet with your doctor or nutritionist is highly recommended.
  5. It is strictly forbidden to stay on this diet for more than 14 days. For a year you can resort to it no more than four times.
  6. Since the essence of the proposed nutrition is based on the rejection of salt, weight loss is based on ridding the body of excess fluid, and not on the breakdown of fats. All the kilograms lost with such difficulty and harm will return again at the first opportunity. In some cases, the weight will exceed the original.

A real Hollywood star diet menu should include fresh seafood and ripe juicy pineapples. In our reality, it is not easy to get such delicacies, since stores can rarely offer freshly caught oysters or ripened exotic fruits, and if they do, the price of such food will hit your pocket hard. So nutritionists adapted the dietary table for the domestic consumer, replacing the exotic with affordable, but similar in protein and carbohydrate content products.

The basis of the diet included foods with a high content of proteins, the consumption of carbohydrates is reduced to a minimum. Instead of breakfast, a cup of unsweetened natural coffee is offered. If you have begun to notice jumps in blood pressure, it is acceptable to replace the drink with green tea without additives and sweetener.

For 7 days

The weekly menu option is more sparing only because of the shorter duration. During this time, you will be able to part with 5-7 kilograms of the initial weight with minimal losses to the body. If necessary, you can replace dishes from the diet with similar ones in terms of protein and carbohydrate content. Remember to drink regularly and drink a lot. And remember — no breakfast, only coffee or tea!


  • Lunch: a couple of hard boiled eggs, fresh tomato, natural unsweetened coffee.
  • Dinner: one hard-boiled chicken egg, fresh leaf lettuce, orange or grapefruit.


  • Lunch: 1 chicken or 5 hard-boiled quail eggs, grapefruit, natural unsweetened coffee or green tea.
  • Dinner: lean beef, steamed or boiled without salt or spices, one medium-sized cucumber, black coffee.


  • Lunch: Green Chinese cabbage and celery salad, grapefruit, natural unsweetened coffee or green tea.
  • Dinner: one chicken or 5 quail eggs, fat-free cottage cheese, stewed spinach, a cup of coffee or tea.


  • Lunch: one chicken or 5 hard-boiled quail eggs, stewed Chinese cabbage, natural unsweetened coffee or green tea.
  • Dinner: steamed or boiled veal without salt or spices, one medium-sized tomato, black coffee.


  • Lunch: one chicken or 5 quail eggs, stewed celery or Chinese cabbage, a cup of coffee or tea.
  • Dinner: lean steamed fish without spices and salt, green salad without dressing, coffee or tea.


  • Lunch: lean vegetable soup, a small piece of steamed chicken fillet, a cup of coffee or tea.
  • Dinner: one chicken or 5 quail eggs, fat-free cottage cheese, grapefruit, a cup of coffee or tea.


  • Lunch: lean steamed fish without spices or salt, stewed spinach, coffee or tea.
  • Dinner: one hard-boiled chicken egg, coleslaw, orange or grapefruit, unsweetened black coffee or tea.

For 14 days

If you are ready to stay on the above menu option for not one, but two weeks, on the eighth day, just start the diet from the beginning. During this time, up to 14 kilograms of initial weight can go. But breakfast will still have to be abandoned.

To try to somehow diversify the diet and facilitate the process of losing weight, you can combine dishes as follows:

  • one chicken egg can be replaced with 4-5 quail eggs, 100 grams of fat-free cottage cheese or light unsalted cheese;
  • alternate chicken breast with lean beef, veal, rabbit, lean fish;
  • spinach, celery, Chinese cabbage are suitable as a hot side dish;
  • green salads can be made with spinach, celery, chinese cabbage, parsley, watercress and any other green salad without dressing;
  • you can only drink black unsweetened coffee, tea, pure mineral water without gas;
  • Grapefruit can be replaced once or twice with fresh pineapple, both of these fruits promote the breakdown of fat, but the second contains a lot of sugar.

Product recommendations

  1. Sometimes you can afford to spice up the table by replacing plain boiled eggs with a light omelette cooked in the oven or in a dry frying pan without vegetable oil.
  2. The following types of fish are suitable for a healthy diet: sole, pollock, perch, pike perch, mullet, blue whiting. Sometimes a fish dish can be replaced with seafood.
  3. Meat, fish and poultry are best steamed, preserving their natural salts and minerals, which will significantly improve the taste of dishes.
  4. Diet cheeses include the following varieties: curd cheese Ricotta, Tofu, Feta, Oltermani. Bryndza is categorically not suitable — it is a low-fat cheese, but it has a high salt content, which contradicts the basic principle of the diet of Hollywood stars.
  5. Spinach, both hot and cold, is the richest green in vitamins and microelements, so try not to replace it with analogues.

For 18 and 21 days

In an effort to please themselves, some enthusiastic natures try to stretch this meager menu for 18 or even 21 days. But such zeal does not lead to an amazing result, but to sad consequences:

  • the constant absence of carbohydrates sharply reduces the body’s ability to function normally, it simply has nowhere to take strength, which leads to ailments and constant weakness;
  • an abundance of proteins makes the internal organs work for wear and tear, which leads to serious chronic diseases, most often to kidney failure;
  • Excess caffeine, especially on an empty stomach, will definitely affect blood pressure, in addition, this drink irritates the gastric mucosa, leading to disorders and problems with the stool.

With the Hollywood diet, the daily calorie intake does not exceed 600 kcal, which is extremely small for the normal functioning of the body. If you stick to such a meager diet for a long time, you are likely to disrupt your metabolism and bring yourself to exhaustion and even anorexia.

Exiting the diet

Regardless of whether you have lasted a week or two on the Hollywood diet, you need to exit it smoothly, without overloading the digestive system. During the first seven days after it, begin to gradually supplement the diet:

  • to begin with, add breakfast and an afternoon snack, from fruits, before going to bed, you can drink a glass of kefir or jelly;
  • Gradually introduce durum pasta, oatmeal, lean meat soups;
  • dress vegetable salads with vegetable oil and lemon juice;
  • Carefully return salt and spices;
  • start gradually increasing physical activity.

The bulk of the weight is lost in the early days of the Hollywood diet due to the lack of salt in food, that is, due to the removal of fluid from the body.
