Reading Comprehension — Mrs. Hart’s 5th grade (5H)

Reading Comprehension

Each week there will be a new reading comprehension packet. There are 5 pages (one for each day of the week). They may be completed all in one day, one each day or any way that works with your schedule. Answers for all 5 days must be turned in each Friday.

After reading a passage and the corresponding questions on your computer screens, students will print a bubble answer sheet and record their answers on that sheet. Answer sheet should be turned in on Friday in the homework sorter.

Print the Bubble Answer Sheet below to submit your answers. Be sure to fill in your student code and the bubbles under each number. Write the answer to day 5 on the back (in cursive.)

Instructions for filling out the Bubble Answer Sheet

Write in your name, date, and class (5H) in the appropriate boxes. In the quiz box, write «week number #. Fill in your student ID code. Everyone’s ID code starts with the numbers 515 and adds your class student number—51501 is the student ID code for student #1 in our class. 5 is for grade 5, 15 is for our room number). Fill in the bubbles under each of the numbers in your ID code.

Answers should be filled in corresponding to the number of each item. For example, record the answer for Day 1, Question 1 on #11 on the answer sheet, Day 1, Question 2 on #12 etc. The answer for Day 2, Question 1 should be filled in on #21 etc. Follow the same pattern for each day. NO ANSWERS SHOULD BE FILLED IN on the answer sheet FOR NUMBERS 1-10, 16-20; 26-30; 36-40; and 49-50. Please don’t cross out those numbers, just leave these bubbles blank.

Day 5 should be written on the back of your bubble answer sheet. Make sure to fully answer the question (at least 5 sentences), write in CURSIVE, put the question in the answer, check for spelling or grammar errors and include a conclusion sentence. Day 5 is worth 5 points (one for each of the above items).
